Job Description
Looking for a talented and highly motivated Java Developer with Swing experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and tests product code according to client quality standards. Maintains knowledge of product environments and applicable software technologies. Performs thorough problem analysis that results in resolution of product-related problems. Carries out thorough unit testing; supports systems and integration testing as required to provide a quality product. Accurately estimates the size and scope of the development effort as measured by the product delivery schedule.
This position reports to the WindLogics Engineering Manager.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering; A Masters degree is plus.
- 8+ years experience in Java application development
- 5+ years experience designing, developing and testing Java Swing based User Interfaces (UI)
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Strong knowledge of Eclipse, Spring, Hibernate, Subversion, Maven
- Experience in third party Swing components and Apache libraries
- Experience in the Agile (SCRUM) development methodology
- Experience in providing service in all aspects of the system development life cycle
- Experience in UI usability design and analysis
- Experience with Windows and Linux platforms
